We had to do a last minute reshuffling of the jam to my BMXNJ HQ's hometown of Brick, NJ. We'll be chilling at The Drum Point Rd Sports Complex which is where Brick Skatepark is. Directions to that
are here: Drum Point Skatepark (The riding area is in the upper right corner of that green B. It's right next to a small skatepark which I have pictures of here: Brick Skatepark . The flat area pictures are here. We'll be out there the night and day before blowing out the rocks and sand that may be there. The area itself though is pretty much free of cracks and just has a slight angle to it. We'll ride till we a re burned out then head over to my place for some BBQ action later in the day. See ya there. (obviously if you aren't a flatlander you can still roll out as there is a park right there for riding....)
Just scooped this off the pages of Facebook, Gary Nilsson's INSANE edit got him one of the 3 spots that were available to qualify to the GFFT Finals in Salt Lake. All expenses paid for the man. After coming back from that 4x4 induced injury earlier in the year, this is a hell of a feat. Let me see if I can find a shot of Gary... ah here we go... (oh and folks...that's THREE guys from NJ in the finals...maybe we should back off and give some other states a chance....nah...)
Coming straight outta Jersey (it's sorta like compton but more hardcore...) here's a web edit with two CNJ big guns, Dean Deh Machine and Eric Marion, putting some woop ass down on the street. Live it. NoSide Clothing
Another killah blog from the men of BMX in New Jersey. This time around it is Jim Mango's, Team Mango. Watch the sample video and then go to http://www.teammangobikes.blogspot.com/
I was not around for this man's reign on the NJ BMX freestyle scene. I am sad to say that the only time I saw him was at the last Jump For Joy at Steve's place in 1997. 9 years ago today, NJ lost a hero. Nothing else need be said.
Dan Hodgins sent over this bombastic (yea, it's a word...I think) footage of some South Jersey shredding. More BMX manooves from the likes of Albert Carlson, Dan Beerley, Dan Hodgins, Matt Blew, and Paul Beerley. Watch and realize that you can't escape the BMX in the NJ...
While you're at it, go to Subliminal's blog by following this link. Subliminal...
Gary has been destroying the NJ comp scene lately and has put out an edit for consideration to the Gatorade Free Flow Tour. Scope this footage it is completely insane. The tech tricks here are somewhere between impossible and not real. Lucasfilm's SFX department couldn't duplicate these moves. Here he is GT's east coast connection...Gary Nilsson. While you're out here why not check out all of Team WSB's stuff at this link http://wallstreetsb.blogspot.com/
I am currently residing in Ewing, New Jersey for school. I am living in a tiny room in a house that is across for my school. I just wanted to let everyone know, I have found a place to ride. So, the next time you see me, expect progression. Here is a picture of the spot. Also, there is a possibility of me making another video. Adam Guild has requested it. And speaking of Adam, once I got settled into school, he will have an interview up here. Stay tuned.
Yea....one more time. Letters, oh we get letters, we get your letters every day...or something like that. Anyway, this time around we have some footage from Paton's Easter Jam, Shields BMX Blowout, Jump For Joy 16 and the first CJS Perth Amboy comp of the year....check 'er out.... (it's um episode 6 because I counted hippie's interview as episode 5, even though it was like 4 episodes itself...it's confusing in this head sometimes, LOL)
For those of you who weren't paying attention, Old School Zen Master, Brian Pleva held his 6th annual OS gathering a few weekends ago at his place up in North NJ. The party that is now known as Summerslam 6 was another blast with plenty of cool stuff from BMX past and chill peeps hanging loose. I was not able to make it this year, but perusing other well known websites I was able to find this killah footie put out there by Jeff S. Check the video and wish you were there.
